| | The Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities (MIPU) wishes to recruit a suitable individual for the position of a Civil Engineer for the Department of Public Works. Interested individuals should call in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Corporate Services HR Office to collect the standard application form-PSC FORM 3-2. |
| | Supporting documents should include curriculum vitae of no more than 5 pages detailing employment experience demonstrating capacity to meet the selection criteria. The contact details (phone and/or e-mail) for 2 current Referees must be included. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Degree; A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in civil engineering design office, with supervision of work on side and liaison with private contractors |
| | - Civil Engineering; Competent skills and knowledge in the fallowing computer software such as AutoCAD and project Manager and Microsoft Office Software; Topographical survey to collect data |
| | information for civil engineering design purposes using the following tools: Automatic level, Total station and Geographical positioning system(GPS) |
| | - Have a valid driver’s license and can drive a common vehicle; Side inspection and monitoring skills, planning and report writing skills and infrastructure designing skills |
| | - Must have the ability to think analytically, innovative, pragmatic and persevere in civil engineering solution to engineering problems; Strong communication skills (Written and spoken) |
| | - Negotiation and conflict resolution skills; Problem-solving and decision making skills and sound analytical skills; Honest, hardworking punctual methodical; English or French and Bislama. |
