The Department of Environmental Protection & Conservation in collaboration with the department of quarantine, forestry and fisheries in implementing a global environmental facility funded project in Vanuatu on invasive and alien species and need the services of a national coordinator.

The position will be housed at the Department of Environmental Protection & Conservation at George Pompidou, Port Vila. The project has a life of 4 years starting from 2011 to 2014.

Interested applicant must possess the following requirements:

Criteria:

- University degree or equivalent qualification in an environmental sciences or related field

- Project and budget management experience; Familiarity with the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity and pacific regional guidance on IAS

- Experience in undertaking similar assignments, preferably with some regional ramifications/interactions

- Team player who possesses excellent organisational and communication skills

- High standard of English; Computer literacy.
