Job Description:
The VSPD was set up in 1986 to support people with disabilities to participate as fully as possible in community life.  Its services are therefore focused on early intervention for children, community rehabilitation for adults and advocating for the rights of people with disabilities.


Our office is located in Nambatu, Port Vila. Our work is largely community-based, with 8 early intervention classes run from community halls each week, and client visits conducted daily with both children and adults. 

The Vanuatu Society for People with Disability (VSPD) is currently seeking expression of interest for a Finance Officer that will be responsible for financial record keeping.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare cheque payments and prepare bank deposits
  • Prepare Staff payroll
  • Daily enter of financial transaction into MYOB
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Provide financial assistance and support to Management
  • Compile Finance reports for VSPD Board and Donors

Criteria:
Key Skills:
  • Proven Finance and accounting experience
  • Familiarity with book keeping and accounting procedures
  • Competency in MS Office (Excel & Word) and MYOB software
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Well organized
  • A relevant academic qualification (Certificate or Diploma etc…) in administration or Finance  
Training and support will be provided to new staff.
