Job Description: 
The overall goal of Save the Children Child Protection Program is to ensure that children in Vanuatu are better protected by informed and coordinated child protection stakeholders, community members and leaders with the knowledge, skills and strategies consistent with both kastom and government system.

The Child Protection Program Manager's role is to oversee the implementation of the final phase of Child Protection Program for 6 months. The Key Responsibilities in this period will be:
  • Manage all aspects of Child Protection contract, and ensure the successful achievement of the Child Protection targets and outcomes as planned
  • Supervision and support of 3 field staff
  • Ensure that the implementation of daily activities in communities is of a high quality and consistent with the principles of Child Right Programming
  • Work with technical advisory to synthesis and analyse data coming from the field to inform the pilot finding and recommendations
  • Actively engage and collaborate with partner agencies and government representatives to improve
  • Compilation of the final donor report.

        Criteria:
        Skills/Abilities:
        • Demonstrate ability to project manage complex and inter-connected project
        • Demonstrate ability to provide accurate and timely advance on Child Protection matter
        • Ability to provide remote supervision to project staff
        • Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment
        • Confidence in relationship building, influencing and well developed interpersonal skills
        • Strong time management and organization skills
        • Highly developed communication and collaboration skills
        • Excellent English language skills
        Knowledge/Experience:
        • More than 5 years experience with contract and project management 
        • Demonstrate experience in details report writing
        • Knowledge of ,and experience in the application of Child rights programming and right based approached development
        • Proven ability to liaise with key stakeholders on thematic program, preferably on Child Protection
        • Sound knowledge of the Convention on the Right of the Child Protection legislation
        • Experience in participatory community development methodologies, desirable
        • Experience working in the Asia-Pacific region, desirable.
        Qualifications/Accreditation:
        • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
