We are seeking expressions of interest for:

Four (4) Community Training & Engagement Officers (CTEO) to join us.  2 CTEO for Efate, 1 CTEO for Santo and 1 CTEO for Ambae.  These are 12 months contracts on full-time basis (with expectation of renewal annually if funding approved). 

Where you come in:
Reporting to the Field Managers, you will be primarily responsible for:
  • Ensuring quality nutrition trainings for selected groups at the community level by working closely with the Program Quality Team.
  • Work closely with field teams to ensure timely follow up after trainings and ensure positive nutrition behaviours are retained
  • Work collaboratively with other SC community mobilisers to implement health programs in the provinces.
You will make an impact by:
Focusing on capacity development at the community, provincial, and national levels to improving nutritional awareness and nutritional services for children.

If we could compose the perfect you…
……you have 3 years’ experience conducting community level trainings including liaising with community leaders, demonstrated knowledge and practical skills in community level training and capacity building and knowledge of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health.

Criteria:
This role requires:
  • Completed High School Level 12
  • Diploma in Community Services an advantage
  • Excellent facilitation skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in both Bislama and English
  • Ability to communicate sensitive health messages surrounding Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health
  • Ability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timely completion of tasks while working to dead lines
  • Willing and able to travel to and work in remote communities
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, community members and external stakeholders.
