| | The United States Peace Corps seeks qualified applicants for the position of Host Family Coordinator/Volunteer Support (HFC/VS). The U.S Peace Corps is an Agency of the United States Government and has served the Republic of Vanuatu since 1985. Peace Corps Vanuatu currently oversees an operation consisting of 65 volunteers who teach English Literacy in primary schools, |
| | Information Technology in secondary schools, and work as Community Health Facilitators in rural communities. |

| | Duties and responsibilities: |
| | 1)The position HFC/VS works within the Peace Corps Vanuatu Training Team and the Volunteer Support Team |
| | 2) As part of the training team, the HFC/VS assists the Training Manager in all aspects of training operations, including the training of families, who host Volunteer's service |
| | 3)The HFC/VS also works within a cross disciplinary team to provide support for trainees and volunteers during pre-service training and their 2-year service |
| | |
| | The HFC/VS will be expected to travel on short notice and may live at training sites for up to 10 weeks. |
| | A statement of work can be obtained from the Peace Corps Office at Vila Mall. Peace Corps/ Vanuatu is an equal employer provider. |

| | Ideal applicants for the position must have the followings: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Prior experience with a volunteer organisation within Vanuatu; An understanding of rural and urban life in Vanuatu |
| | - A strong command of both Bislam and English; Report writing experience, Basic computer usage (MS word, Excel, and Power Point) |
| | - An adult training experience is desirable. |
